Jazz-ik Screenprint

Edition of 15 printed on Southbank and Somerset paper. 4 colours, 21 x 29,7 cm.

The print was exhibited at the Sight of Music exhibition.
“-ik”, along with other suffixes like -ek, -ka, -ko, is used in the Polish language to create a diminutive which changes the meaning of the word to indicate smallness, endearment, or some other diminished quality.

Music's ability to serve as a vessel for memories and emotions never ceases to amaze me. After moving from Poland to the UK nearly six years ago, hearing a Polish song from my past often triggers my deepest feelings of homesickness.
